Granny's Sugar Cookies

This recipe came with my Tupperware rolling pin. I have used it for over 40 years.

GRANNY's SUGAR COOKIES
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup butter
1 Cup sugar
1 Egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 Cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar
Blend in egg
Add salt, flour and baking powder
Blend in vanilla
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet in 400 degree oven
8 - 10 minutes.

COOKING TIP
Use small juice cans, with both ends removed, for cookie cutters. Before lifting the cutter from the cookie dough, sprinkle with sugar, nuts or candies into the top of the can to avoid waste and spills
